Artist Statement
‘i feel myself here’ explores a personal experience with anxiety and moments I’ve identified with this state of feeling. This series presents mixed media pieces ranging from hot glue textured acrylic and oil pastel paintings, to hand soldered metal work and traditional drawing. This series is inspired by my senior thesis project, Return to Eternium, I finished in early 2024 at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. The visual motifs from this world building project are expressions of emotional states, and I reflect these motifs through a personal lens in this series.
