Maze strives to convey the mystical and the mysterious in what we may not notice. She explores these themes through novel fantasy/sci-fi visual storytelling and world building. Based in Seattle, WA, her work ranges from surreal morphing animation loops to elaborate concept art for animation and live action film. Her influences range from the animated works of Studio Ghibli and illustrations of Mœbius, to the alluring mystique of old cinematography.
She is currently studying at the Pacific Northwest College of Art for a degree in the Animated Arts. In 2021, Maze completed a short animated feature, Les Yeux Comme Moi (Eyes Like Mine), which was awarded ‘Best Animation’ at the West Sound Film Festival and ‘Best Student Short Film’ at Cine Paris Film Festival.
